Determined to strengthen spiritual and community bond in the fast period, Maltina Company, has unvieled Ramadan lights up in Kano.
The first ever Maltina Light-Up which was switch on Friday night was designed to welcome Muslim customers to the holy Month of Ramadan.
The lighting decoration stalled along Kofa Nassarawa Emir Palace Road and ended at Kabara junction near Central Mosque symbolizes visual expression of unity, reflection, and renewal in the month of Ramadan.
The ceremony which started with light gathering at the Emir Palace, Kofar Kudu, brought together government officials, community leaders, and residents who were treated to sumptuous iftar.

Federico agressi explained that the program was designed to highlight the spiritual significance of Ramadan as a time for worship, compassion, and unity within the community, especially through shared iftar moments.
He added that the illuminated decorations was considered as symbol to welcome Ramadan and promote communal harmony.
“The initiative forms part of the broader Nourishment Fit for Ramadan” campaign, which encourages healthy eating and the communal spirit of breaking fast together as the period coincided with Maltina’s 50th anniversary”. Agressi said.
Speaking at the event, Elohor Olumide-Awe, Portfolio Manager, Maltina Company, said: Ramadan is a season of renewal, sharing, and reflection added that for 50 years, Maltina has stood for nourishment, happiness and togetherness.
“This Light-Up reflects our belief that true nourishment lies not only in what we drink, but in the connections we build and the communities we strengthen.
“The Maltina Ramadan Light-Up stood as a moment to refresh, reflect, and replenish; honouring both the spiritual depth of the season and the shared joy of breaking fast together.
“It forms part of Maltina’s 50th year activities, reflecting a journey shaped by unity, shared moments, and the enduring spirit of community”. Awe added.
On his part, Kano Deputy Governor Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo who was represented by the Chairman of Kwari Market, Hamisu Sa’adu Dogon Nama, praised Maltina for its role in creating employment opportunities for young people across the state.
He expressed the government’s gratitude for choosing Kano as the host city for this philanthropic initiative.
His Royal Highness, Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II, represented by Kano Palace official Bashir Mahe, also lauded Maltina for promoting cultural heritage and enhancing the state’s image.
He highlighted that the initiative fosters youth employment and the preservation of traditional values.
