A middle-aged man escaped death by whiskers after angry mob attempted to him for allegedly robbing a commercial sex worker at Ojoto lane, Mile 3 Diobu in Port Harcourt City Council of Rivers State.
The man was apprehended by a mob on Sunday night at about 11:10p.m. for robbing a commercial sex worker in one of the brothels in Azikiwe Road, Mile 2, Diobu, shortly after patronising her.
The victim told the mob that the suspect dragged her bag, from where she usually put her daily earnings, and ran out of her room shortly after patronising her.
The sex worker explained that she gave the suspect a hot chase to recover the bag, but the man jumped into a drainage to evade arrest.
The Guardian learnt that the suspect was brought out of the drainage by the mob and was about to pounce on him when one, Austin Ibe and other landlords in the area prevented the mob from meting out jungle justice on the suspect.
The suspect, however, claimed that he decided to snatch the bag containing the money of the commercial sex worker because she did not allow him to ejaculate after he had paid for her service.
