THE quarterly discourse featuring eminent Nigerians before congregations in the second oldest Anglican Cathedral in Metropolitan Lagos, Archbishop Vining Memorial Church Cathedral, will enter the seventh year of its inauguration on Sunday, February 14, 2016.

Given the generic title of ‘God in my life,’ the lecture series had in previous years hosted Chief Emeka Anyaoku, a former Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, the late Sir Gamaliel Onosode and Chief Michael Ade-Ojo, founder of Elizade University in Ondo State.

Leading the first in the series of this year’s conversations will be a former Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sir Festus Oluremi Omotoso.

Currently chairman of Standard Chartered Bank Plc., and of several other well-known companies including John Wesley Investments Limited (a commercial arm of the Methodist Church of Nigeria), Sir Festus Omotoso, aged 70 years, is a 1969 alumnus of the University of Ibadan and a former Group Managing Director of Odu’a Investments Company Limited. He received the award of Knight of John Wesley in 2009.

On arrival at AVMCC, Ikeja GRA, at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Sir Festus will be received by the Bishop of the Diocese of Lagos West, the Rt. Rev. James O. Odedeji, the Dean of AVMCC, the Ven. Abel O. Ajibodu, and Rufus S. Ogundana, the president of the host society, the Torchbearers.
