Mimiko’s daughter, Kikiayo bags Cambridge award

Former Ondo State Governor Dr. Olusegun Mimiko and his wife Olukemi, on behalf of their daughter Miss Kikiayo Olutooni, received Outstanding Cambridge Learners in Nigeria Award from Deputy Head of Mission, British Commission, Andrew Davidson


Daughter of former Governor of Ondo State, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, Miss Kikiayo Mimiko has emerged the best candidate in Economic, at the Nigeria November 2015 Cambridge Examinations.

On hand to receive her award from the Deputy Head of Missions, British Embassy, Mr. Andrew Davidson, were her proud parents, Dr. and Mrs. Mimiko.

Responding on behalf of parents of the awardees at the occasion,the former governor commended the British Council for promoting quality education in Nigeria. He said the award would motivate students to work hard. He said the cutting-edge education being provided for Nigerian youths would enable them to be globally competitive.

Mimiko further reiterated his belief in Nigeria, noting that with the crop of young Nigerians that were recognised for their academic achievements by the council, the future of the country is assured.
