Minister tasks entrepreneurs on science, tech

The Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu, has called for the evolution of new entrepreneurs that would key into the vast opportunities in the new world of science and technology.

Speaking on the World Science Day themed ‘Open Science, Leaving no One Behind’ yesterday in Abuja, Onu said if Nigeria would pay more attention to science and innovation, the standard of living of the people and business opportunities would improve.

While calling on the citizenry to embrace science and technology as a way of life to attain food security, he assured that from small and medium enterprises, Nigerians would gradually catch up with the rest of the developed world.

The minister urged Nigerians not to be left behind on the scientific train, as “science and technology have changed the world through innovation and scientific research.”
