He gave the call during his investiture ceremony that took place in Amuwo-Odofin, Lagos.

Mogbogu vowed to take humanitarian services to the grassroots by executing projects that would be of great values to the people during his service year.
He said: “We are spreading our projects to touch the seven areas of focus of Rotary International. I have carried out some projects, which include maternal and child health, polio, basic education and literacy among others.

Meanwhile, to execute its “2023 Maternal and Child Health”, project, Rotary Club of Abule-Egba Metropolitan has donated four stainless baby cots with mattresses and phototherapy light to General Hospital, Ile-Epo, Orile Agege, Lagos.

The President of the Club, Raphael Oyebamijo, said this was done in line with the siupport of Rotarians, despite the hardship in the country, to execute humanitarian services to the needy.

He said: “In line with our tradition to meet urgent needs, we carried out a need assessment in this hospital and were intimated of the immediate need of baby cots. Hence, we are here to make these donations from the little we have which we believe will be judiciously used.

“This is the beginning of our partnership with the hospital as we have made our presence felt in Health Centres in Abule Egba.”

Receiving the items on behalf of the Medical Director/Chief Executive Officer, the Director, Clinical Services, Dr. Taiwo Oluyemi appreciated the club’s kind gesture and pledged the use of the items for the services required.
She also solicited more partnerships with the club and particularly in the procurement of incubators for the hospital.

Mogbogu continued: “My star project is renovation of the school I attended here in Lagos, as well as equipping same.

‘’I have already contributed $2,000 to Rotary Foundation. I am a Paul Harris Fellow. My friends have pledged to support me.

We are also contributing to the District Educational and Endowment Fund (DEWEF).  We have pledged 10 candidates to attend Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA)” and would continue to groom our youth to become Rotarians” he said..

Mogbogu said he would like to be remembered as the president that repositioned and restructured the club for his successor to sustain the momentum.

The District Governor, Rotary International, District 9110, Lagos and Ogun states, Ifeyinwa Ejezie, described the club as very vibrant and with the money raised at the investiture, Mogbogu would carry out a lot of projects.
Assistant Governor, Alex Ajibo, who is also District 9110 Treasurer, said he believed that Mogbogu would do well and would take the club to the next level.
