Imo State Commissioner of Police, Audu Garba Bosso, on Friday deployed drone to strengthen surveillance and intelligence gathering operations, aimed at tracking crimes in the state
The drone was donated by an unmentioned resident of Ihiagwa, in Owerri West Local Government Area of the state. The drone surveillance will be conducted in partnership with vigilantes of the Imo State Security Organization (ISSO).
In a statement on Friday night, signed by the Imo police command’s spokesperson, Henry Okoye, the Imo CP said with the development, there will be no hiding place for the criminals in the state.
The statement read: “The Commissioner of Police, Imo State Command, CP Audu Garba Bosso, PSC(+), mnips, has deployed surveillance drone to strengthen intelligence gathering and support ongoing operations aimed at identifying and tracking criminal elements across Imo State. The operations are being conducted in partnership with vigilantes of the Imo State Security Organization (ISSO).”
Okoye, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), continued: “The surveillance drone was generously donated by a public-spirited resident of Ihiagwa Community in Owerri West Local Government Area, demonstrating the vital role of community partnership in enhancing security. There will be no hiding place for criminals in Imo State.”
