More PDP members join APC in Kogi, vow to ensure Ododo’s victory

.Bello assures new members of equal treatment 

Governor Yahaya Bello has commended some members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who joined the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, promising them equal opportunities in the party.

Stating this, yesterday, while receiving PDP defectors into the APC at the Lugard House, the governor expressed confidence that their support would be an icing on the cake for APC’s victory in the November elections.

Bello urged the group to campaign across the three senatorial districts to ensure emphatic victory for the APC flagbearer, Ahmed Ododo.

The defectors, who were led by Mr. A.K. Salihu, a former House of Representatives member for Okehi/Adavi constituency and Udu Malik, former caretaker chairman of Okehi Local Council, expressed support for Ododo’s victory in the election.

Haruna Yusuf, former Aide De-Camp (ADC) to former Edo governor, Adams Oshiomhole; and Austin Ochu, former Senior Special Assistant in former Governor Ibrahim Idris’ administration were among the defectors

Salihu, who spoke on behalf of the defectors, praised Bello for his developmental strides, particularly in the area of security.

He said their decision to align with the APC was a testament to its people-oriented policies and internal democracy.

The new members assured the governor of their full support for Ododo and their commitment to securing victory for APC in the coming election.
