NAMA ex-director alleges threat to life


A former director in Nigeria Airspace Management Authority (NAMA), Mr. Ogedengbe Edward Edokhamen, has raised the alarm over attempt by unknown persons to assassinate him and members of his family.

In a statement , Edokhamen said unknown group of boys on March 7, 2018 entered his compound and started firing rapidly at the building.According to him: “At about 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, unknown group of boys came to the compound with guns and started firing rapidly at the building. A stray bullet entered into the toilet. After the incident, I strongly believed that some people are after me and my family.”He said he had reported the case to the police at Idimu.


However, the police in their investigation report dated March 9, 2018 and signed by ACP Akika Austines from Area ‘M’ Command, Idimu, stated that investigation was ongoing to arrest the fleeing suspects.

“Upon report by the complainant, his statement was obtained, while the Investigating Police Officer (IPO) visited the scene of the incident and discovered that the unknown culprits were after the life of the complainant and his family, but the stray bullet did not hit anybody in the house, and none of the suspects was seen and there was no information that would have assisted the police in apprehending the unknown suspects,” the report read.
