The National Association of Nigerian Traditional Medicine Practitioners (NANTMP) has dissolved its National Executive Council (EXCO) and inaugurated Electoral Committee (ELCOM) for its election on January 28, 2023.

Chairman of NANTMP Board of Trustees (BoT), Dr. Shehu Adam, disclosed this during a world press conference, yesterday, at its official guesthouse, Tafawa Balewa Street, Jos, Plateau State.

Quoting the NANTMP Electoral Act, the Adam hinted: “Today, we stand to announce the resolution of the BoT, based on the Electoral Act of the Association in Article 7 to organise election of the new EXCO of the association, after the expiration of the tenure of Dr. Shaba Maikudi-led administration from October 7, 2019 – October 7, 2022.”

The NANTMP constitution has no provision for tenure extension, he noted.
