NAOWA empowers widows, children in Adamawa

The Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Association (NAOWA) 23 Brigade, Yola, Adamawa State chapter, has emphasized its commitment to promoting self-sufficiency and dignity among vulnerable women and children.

Speaking at an outreach organized by the association, for widows and vulnerable children in the state in commemoration of the nation’s 64 anniversary, they expressed appreciation for the resilience of the widows, acknowledging their unwavering strength and support.

Led by the association’s Zonal Coordinator, Mrs. Comfort Zawaya, they encouraged the widows to uphold the values that unite the nation and to strive for a brighter future.

Zawaya said the association’s commitment to supporting widows and ensuring that their well-being is prioritized inspired the idea for the outreach.

“Your sacrifices have not gone unnoticed, and we recognize the challenges you face. We are committed to supporting you and ensuring that your well-being is prioritized,” said Mrs. Zawaya.

She urged them to uphold and reflect on the values that unite “us as a nation and strive for a brighter future” and assured that the association will not cease to put smiles on the faces of widows, women, and vulnerable children.

Praising the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, for his continuous support towards NAOWA, they also applauded the National President of NAOWA, Mrs. Mariya Lagbaja, and the Chairperson of NAOWA 3 Division for their guidance and unwavering support to the 23 Brigade Chapter.
