The Nigerian Navy has expressed its appreciation to members of the public for the warm and rousing reception accorded its personnel following the recent rotation of Nigerian Navy personnel deployed for Operation ENDURING PEACE in Jos.

A video currently trending on social media shows a crowd at an airport terminal giving a standing ovation to the personnel on arrival.

According to the Director of Naval Information, Captain Abi Folorunsho, the spontaneous show of support and goodwill strongly demonstrates public appreciation for the sacrifices and commitment of the Armed Forces of Nigeria.

Folorunsho stated that the gesture is particularly encouraging and reflects the enduring bond between the Armed Forces and the Nigerian people.

“Such expressions of goodwill strengthen civil-military relations, build mutual trust and reinforce the morale of personnel as they continue to discharge their constitutional responsibilities.

“The Nigerian Navy sincerely appreciates the public for this show of solidarity and reaffirms its commitment to serving the nation with professionalism, dedication and humanity,” he shared on X.
