The President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mr Olumide Akpata, has urged Nigerians to embrace peaceful coexistence as Christians celebrate Christmas.

The President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Mr Olumide Akpata, has urged Nigerians to embrace peaceful coexistence as Christians celebrate Christmas.

In a Christmas message to Nigerians, the NBA President, Mr Olumide Akpata, said that the coming of Jesus Christ signified peace, urging Nigerians to strengthen the nation’s peace.

The message was signed by the NBA National Publicity Secretary, Dr Rapulu Nduka.

“As we commemorate and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, it is our collective desire that our lives and entire nation experience His peace in these troubling times.

“On the occasion of this year’s Christmas celebration, the President of the Nigerian Bar Association, on behalf of the association, wishes all members of the legal profession and Nigerians, merry Christmas.

“May we, in the spirit of the season, reflect on the true meaning of Christmas and explicate the virtues of love and peace symbolised by the birth of Jesus Christ in our homes and communities at large,” he said.
