The Interim Administrator of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Mr. Akwa Effiong, has expressed readiness to work together with critical stakeholders in the region to deliver dividends of democracy to the people.

He also declared that his administration would ensure speedy completion of all abandoned projects littered across the nine states that make up the commission.

Effiong said this last Thursday at the Ondo State Governor’s Office, Alagbaka, Akure. He donated three waste management trucks and incinerators to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for environmental sanitation.

According to him, the NDDC top officials were in the state to inspect ongoing construction of the 132KVA transmission station situated at Ode-Erinje in Okitipupa Local Government Area of the state.

He said the visit was also part of the commission’s ongoing engagement with stakeholders within the Niger Delta region to seek partnership.

“This is important because partnership is key to development. It rekindles our long-held tradition of brotherhood. It reaffirms that we are our brother’s keeper. This is who we have always been as Niger Deltans…”
