Governor Mohammed Bago of Niger State has commiserated with the family of the late Alh. Abubakar Achituwo Tanko, a former Minister of State for Interior and Foreign Affairs, who passed away in Abuja.

In a condolence message issued to newsmen in Minna on Saturday, November 16, 2024, by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim, the governor described the passing of Achituwo as saddening, stating that Niger State and Nigeria have lost a rare gem whose vacuum will be hard to fill.

Governor Bago prayed to Allah to grant the deceased Aljannat Firdausi and urged the family members to take solace in Allah, who gives and takes life at His will.

He extolled the virtues of the deceased, saying he contributed immensely to the growth and development of not only Niger State but Nigeria as a whole during his tenure as Minister of State for Interior and Foreign Affairs.
