Niger gov’s wife, Fatima, unveils One Nigeria fabric       

The wife of the Niger State Governor, Hajiya Fatima Mohammed Umaru Bago, has reminded Nigerians that no matter our tribe, religion, or background, we are all part of one great Nigeria.

Fatima Bago made the emphasis while unveiling and distributing the One Nigeria Unity Fabric in Minna, on Wednesday, October 2024.

The wife of the governor noted that the distribution of the unity fabric reminded Nigerians that every thread woven into them tells the story of our shared hopes, dreams, and aspirations for a peaceful and prosperous state and Nigeria, adding that it is a call for unity in diversity, a reminder that despite our differences, we are stronger together as one.

She said: “This initiative led by the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, celebrates the diversity of our various different cultures while recognizing the bonds that connect us as Nigerians.

“Niger State has always been a beacon of peace and harmony, and amid the challenging times we are experiencing, let us support one another. Let those who are able to extend help to the less privileged.”

She maintained that unity is not just a word; it is a responsibility we all share, and it begins with small but meaningful acts of kindness and solidarity within our immediate communities.

The wife of the governor, however, urged every Nigerian to continue to embody the values of tolerance, cooperation, and love for one another.

The beneficiaries of the One Nigeria Unity Fabric include All Progressives Congress’ (APC) Women Leaders, women’s groups and associations, wives of state officials, wives of state lawmakers, as well as women stakeholders, among others.
