Speaking on Day Two of the Show, yesterday, Sahni said that his firm was at the show to accommodate heavy commercial vehicles, especially German trucks such as the Mercedes Benz, Volvo, Scania, MAN, Actros and the rest.

“We are here to cater for demands on heavy commercial vehicles, spare parts, mainly German trucks, Mercedes Benz, Volvo, Scania, MAN, Actros. Lagos is a huge market with lots of vehicles and lots of potential. So, we are here to provide for demands of all range of engine components. For us, it has been a good offering meeting the needs of Nigerians in automotive parts.

“We have been attending this show in the last four years now, and every year the business has been growing. We are happy our customers are more aware and accepting our products.

“We have been trying to find the delicate balance between quality and price without compromising a bit of the quality of products. We are trying to make sure that we reach a price, which will be beneficial to us as well for our survival too. And our stance on quality has also helped our customers to be competitive in the market. So far, it is has been a good experience in Nigeria and we hope this exhibition will help us grow even more,” he said.

Meanwhile, the West Africa Automotive Show Exhibition Manager, George Lloyd, has said that this year’s edition is witnessing over 150 exhibitors across the world hoping to attend to customers from the continent sub-region principal’s traders of automotive products.

“We have got over 150 exhibitors from around the world in this year’s West Africa Automotive Show. Exhibitors in the event looked forward to meet Africa’s biggest importers and automotive community in their different pavilions.

“Here, we are talking about exhibitors from Morocco, Indonesia, China, Egyptians, Indians and other international companies selling automotive products and lubricants, automotive spare parts, batteries tires, and many more for the three-day show at the Land Mark Centre.

“We want to increase the automotive import into West Africa because there are small manufacturers here. We want to bring in the automotive market from all around the world to Lagos and West Africa. Nigeria is the hub of import for West Africa and has the biggest population, biggest economy and this is why it is the heart of our exhibition,” she stated.
