Republic of St. Kitts and Nevis has announced a new visa-free travel agreement with Nigeria. The development marks a major milestone in strengthening diplomatic, economic, and cultural relations between the twin-island nation and Africa’s largest economy.
The Executive Chairman of the Citizenship by Investment Unit (CIU) of St. Kitts and Nevis, His Excellency Calvin St. Juste, disclosed this in an exclusive interview with The Guardian, describing the agreement as both historic and symbolic.
“I am the first St. Kitts official to set foot in Nigeria without a visa. This shows our commitment to building lasting partnerships rooted in mutual respect, opportunity, and shared growth,” St. Juste revealed.
According to him, the visa-free arrangement underscores a renewed effort by both nations to expand bilateral relations beyond trade and investment, fostering mobility, tourism, and mutual understanding between citizens of both countries.
Nigeria, he noted, had emerged as one of the fastest-growing investor markets for the St. Kitts and Nevis CBI programme, with many Nigerians viewing second citizenship as a strategic pathway for business expansion, education, and global access.
“Nigerian investors are looking for stability and assurance. St. Kitts and Nevis offers both, a strong political system, a resilient economy, and flexible investment options. What we offer is not just mobility but meaningful partnership,” he said.
