Jigawa PDP clears three guber aspirants, others
Jigawa State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has cleared three gubernatorial and senatorial aspirants each and 30 House of Assembly hopefuls, the Chairman, Babandi Gumel, has hinted.
Briefing newsmen in Dutse, yesterday, he listed the cleared gubernatorial aspirants as Alh. Mustapha Lamido, Alh. Bashir Adamu, and Alh. Sale Hadejia.
Fifteen aspirants are gunning for 11 House of Representatives positions while 30 aspirants are for the House of Assembly.
Gumel revealed that all the contestants were screened at the party’s secretariat in Dutse and that no one was disqualified.
The gubernatorial aspirants were screened at Wadata House, Abuja.
According to him, the clearance of the aspirants was after the screening of over 50 who earlier purchased nomination forms of the party.
