Airtel gifts ₦2m to quadruplet family as Nigerians donate over ₦16m
Telecommunication network, Airtel Nigeria, has donated the sum of ₦2 million to the family of one Mr. Sodiq Olayode, who posted the celebration of his quadruplets.
The news was shared through a post on ‘X’ by @Jamysax, a friend of the family, and ever since donations have been pouring in. Replying to the post, Airtel Nigeria said, “Hello, #jamysax, when life gives quadruplets, we give #ovajara support! We’re adding ₦2m because great things come in multiples.”
This donation follows the outpouring of support from Nigerians, who have raised over ₦16 million for the family through online donations, as of the last update by @Jamysax.
“2pm Update!!!!!!! -16,265,209 Road to 20M, For those who still want to give,” he posted, adding the account details of the father of the quadruplets.
Tweeting as #James, he revealed how Olayode recently lamented that the quadruplets used 105 diapers in six days. His post generated a mix of sympathy as well as joy, with Nigerians donating millions of naira to Olayode’s bank account, which James provided.

Furthermore, to the financial support, he added that some Nigerians have donated diapers, baby items, and food, among others. Olayode and his wife initially expected to welcome a single child, but were surprised by the arrival of quadruplets, two boys and two girls.
The donations are currently ongoing, as the family is eyeing the ₦20 million mark.
