The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has rescued two passengers who were trapped in a Vanagon bus on the Lagos Highway between Maryland and New Garage.

LASTMA said in a statement on Tuesday that a Vanagon bus carrying vegetables (Igu) collided with a containerised vehicle.

It added that another loaded tanker also ran into barriers at the same location.

However, LASTMA revealed that the incident trapped two passengers inside the Vanagon bus.

The agency reported that its personnel and other emergency responders rescued the trapped passengers alive.

It, however, urged citizens to always drive cautiously at all times.
