Chioma Onyenucheya-Uko emerges as FIDA Abuja chairperson
The International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) Nigeria, Abuja Branch, has ushered in a new era with the emergence of Barrister Chioma Onyenucheya-Uko as its chairperson. A seasoned private legal practitioner, Onyenucheya-Uko brings a wealth of experience as a family law expert, certified arbitrator, mediator, and gender advocate.
Renowned for her leadership dynamism and commitment to human rights, she previously served as Vice-Chair of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Abuja Branch, Chair of its Human Rights Committee, and Publicity Secretary for FIDA Abuja. Her work extends beyond the courtroom, anchoring Late Night Intercourse, a family law talk show dedicated to fostering healthy marital and familial relationships through empathy, wisdom, and legal awareness.
Her appointment marks a renewed commitment to advancing women’s rights and strengthening family law advocacy in the FIDA Abuja branch.
