PASTOR-Farayolas

IT was a mixed feelings of celebration and sadness at the Faith Tabernacle Congregation, Lagos District Headquarters, Iba, recently during the send-forth ceremony organized for Pastor Gabriel Farayola, who was transferred to Port Harcourt, Rivers State. Farayola was posted from Mubi, Adamawa State to Lagos in 2007.

Nkechi Nnyamah, who read the farewell address, expressed his appreciation to God for sparing their lives to witness the celebration and farewell ceremonies for Pastor Farayola. “Though painful to our hearts, yet our consolation is that your transfer is for the good of the ministry,” Nnyammah said.

“Your stay in Lagos has been very eventful and remarkable. On arrival, God gave you the wisdom to bring members together and you began to build from there and eventually won the hearts and minds of all.

“You inspired the weak and encourage the devastated. Your combined effort enhanced the peace, love and progress of work in the district as well as spiritual growth. The work of God steadily progressed even as manifested in the spiritual life of the church. As you depart to Port Harcourt, we enjoin you to improve on these godly ideas, which characterize your tenure in Lagos,” she added.

Farayola, in his response, expressed his delight with mixed feelings. ”I am grateful to God Almighty whose hand was visibly manifest in our lives these past seven years. Within these seven years, three of our children graduated from the university, three gained admission into the university, and the youngest is progressing in secondary school. God blessed two of our daughters with children. Today, we have two sons in-law and three grand children.

“We appreciate your love and cooperation, which made our work simple. We enjoyed victory in several aspects of our lives. As I depart to another state, I urge you all to be committed in all that you, especially in the service of God. Furthermore, dwell in love among yourselves so that nothing will hinder your prayers.”

Chairman of the Send-forth/Reception Committee, Bassey Bassey, thanked the church for their support physically, financially and spiritually during the period. He thanked the National Sectary, Johnson Okoro, and other guests from Cotonou, Ogbomosho and Ondo District, who attended the event.
