Force PRO Adejobi seeks justice for woman hit by drunk driver
The spokesman of the Nigerian Police Force (NPF), ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has sought justice for a woman allegedly hit by a drunk driver.
Narrating her ordeal, which landed her in the hospital, an X user whose ID is @Successchi04 said a drunk driver, playing music with friends while she was on a bike coming back from the shop, lost control and hit her.
“My life has changed since then. His vehicle was taken to the police station, but he managed to bail it and stop answering my calls,” Success wrote.
“I was left at the hospital in pain and was later taken to the National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos. We have already spent a lot.
“My uncles opted for TBS (Traditional bone-setting), but the pain became unbearable as the leg got 5cm shortened, which required me needing external fixation and LLD (Leg length discrepancy).”
Force spokesman, ACP Adejobi, responding to her post, ordered an investigation into the case so that Success can get justice.
“Sorry, my sister. I have asked Ben to take up this case. We need to investigate what happened to the case. @BenHundeyin @LagosPoliceNG @PoliceNG_CRU kindly cross-check and revert, so that she gets justice,” Adejobi wrote.
