Governor Lawal donates bus to retired Zamfara permanent secretaries

Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has made a generous donation of an 18-seat bus to the Association of Zamfara Retired Permanent Secretaries. The Governor handed over the bus to the association’s leadership during a presentation at the Government House in Gusau on Wednesday.
The donation fulfils a promise Lawal made at last year’s annual conference of the association, where he committed to providing a vehicle to support the group’s transportation needs.

During the handover, Lawal reaffirmed his commitment to the association, saying, “I am fulfilling this promise to you today. I pray you make the most of the vehicle in your daily activities. My administration will continue to provide you with all necessary support. You served Zamfara State diligently, and now it’s time for the government to support your association.”
The gesture was warmly received by the association. Former Zamfara State Head of Service, Bello Karakkai, expressed his gratitude on behalf of the group, highlighting the significance of the Governor’s action.

“We are proud of this gesture and will make sure to publicize that you did something significant for our association,” said Karakkai. “This is the first time a governor has listened to us since the creation of the state. We are exceedingly happy. May God bless you.”
Lawal’s donation reflects his administration’s commitment to acknowledging the contributions of public servants and supporting their welfare, even after retirement.
