Kidnappers demand N100m for abducted CDA chairman in Ogun

Kidnappers who reportedly abducted a Community Development Area (CDA) chairman in Ogun State, are demanding N100 million for his release.

The name of the CDA chairman and his local government in Ogun State is yet to be known.

The kidnap of the CDA chairman was confirmed by an X user with the name Tao Of Iperu with the handle @TaoFeek182.

“Our CDA chairman has been kidnapped and the kidnappers are demanding for 100 million naira,” the X user said.

“He was kidnapped yesterday along Ogere-Iperu RD, Iperu.

“May God bring him back safely.“

On Friday, September 6, 2024, an assistant chief nursing officer of Babcock University Teaching Hospital, Ilisan Remo, Ogun State, Elizabeth Uruakpa was kidnapped.

It was gathered that the 66-year-old was returning home from a church evening service Thursday when some armed men ambushed her near her house behind the new Ilisan market.

The spokesperson for the police in the state, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident on her X handle.

“On 5 September, a distress call was received from Ilishan near the new market at about 1710hrs that one Elizabeth Uruakpa was abducted by young armed men who blocked her Honda CRV with their unregistered Red Toyota Camry and zoomed off with her. Updates later.”
