Lady dies after being lodged by unknown man in Lagos
A yet-to-be-identified lady has died after complaining of severe heat in the Dopemu area of Lagos.
The Guardian gathered that on October 11, 2024, around 10:10 p.m., a report was made at the Dopemu Police Division by the manager of a hotel. He stated that around 9:30 p.m. on the same day, a man checked into their hotel with a lady for a short rest. However, the identities of both the man and the lady were not taken by the hotel manager.
He further stated that after about an hour, the lady rushed out, claiming she was feeling hot. The manager said he gave her cold water to drink, but she continued to feel unwell. She was later taken to a hospital on Dopemu Road, where she passed away. The man who brought her to the hotel absconded.
The spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident and said the hotel manager is in police custody to aid the investigation.
The corpse of the deceased has been deposited at the Lagos Mainland General Hospital, Yaba, Lagos, while the investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of death and identify the deceased. Efforts are also being made to apprehend the fleeing man.

MEANWHILE, on October 11, 2024, a complainant reported at the Alagbado Division that 45-year-old Kazeem, under the influence of a hard drug suspected to be Colorado, ran uncontrollably and jumped into a river at Odo Tente, the boundary between Lagos and Ogun State.
As a result, the victim drowned and died. His father directed that the corpse be buried immediately by the riverside according to their tradition.
