The Lagos State Government has confirmed the arrest of six individuals for openly urinating on the rail track in Oshodi

The Lagos State Government has arrested six individuals for open urination on the rail track in front of the Nigerian Army Shopping Complex, Arena, in the Oshodi area of the state.

The arrests were part of an ongoing crackdown on public indecency and efforts to promote a cleaner environment under the state’s #ZeroToleranceLagos and #CleanerLagos initiatives.

In a statement shared on X.com on Saturday, the Commissioner of Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, confirmed the arrests, noting the state’s commitment to enforcing sanitary standards across Lagos.

“Six defaulters were arrested today for open urination on the rail track in front of the Nigeria Army Shopping Complex, Arena, Oshodi,” Wahab wrote.

The operation is part of Lagos State’s broader push to address environmental hygiene issues and improve public health in urban areas.
