Lagos begins e-registration for 2025 model colleges, upgraded JSS entrance exams

The Lagos State Government has commenced its e-registration process for the 2025 Entrance Examination (Screening Test) for Primary Six pupils seeking admission into its Model Colleges and Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools.
The announcement was made by the Director of the Lagos State Examinations Board, Adebayo Orunsolu, on Thursday.
Orunsolu confirmed that the e-registration portal opened on Thursday, February 6, 2025, and will close on Friday, May 16, 2025.
He also disclosed that the entrance examination will be conducted exclusively as a Computer-Based Test (CBT) and is scheduled to take place from Wednesday, May 28, to Friday, May 30, 2025, at designated CBT centers across the state.
Prospective candidates from both public and private primary schools are required to pay ₦10,000 for application fee, Orunsolu added.
He also noted that the registration of prospective applicants will be done via Examinations Board Portal pay.examboard.com.ng/model/payment/
According to Orunsolu, the screening test is the only criterion for admission into Junior Secondary School One (JSS1) in all Model Colleges and Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools in the state.
He, however, urged prospective candidates to visit the Head Office of the Board at 254, Ipaja Road, near N.Y.S.C Orientation Camp, Agege, for further enquiries where necessary
