Mentees, others celebrate Prince Olusi over honorary doctoral award

Mentees, associates, family members during the week held a get-together to celebrate the conferment of an honourary doctorate degree on the Chairman of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), Prince Tajudeen Olusi by Lagos State University (LASU).

Speaking at the event, President Bola Tinubu described Olusi as a mentor who has groomed many generations of political leaders.

The president in a message to the reception dinner in Lagos in honour of Olusi following the conferment of an Honourary Doctor of Literature in History, Education and Community Development by the LASU.

Delivering the message, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media, Mr. Tunde Rahman said Olusi remains an individual who was tireless in the development of his community, Lagos State as a whole and a repository of wisdom.

In a message to the occasion, the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu described Olusi as Mr. Consistent for his wisdom and support for progressive leadership. In his remarks, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu described Olusi as a leader who speaks truth to power and shows younger politicians the way to go.

The governor said the celebrant had led at various political parties for about sixty years and he was worth celebrating.

Sanwo-Olu said Olusi had been committed to the development of Lagos State ensuring that the different arms of government in the state works harmoniously for the progress of the state.

Dignitaries at the event included the Speaker of the Lagos State Assembly, Chief Mudashiru Obasa, other state and national lawmakers, associates and family members of the celebrants. Prince Olusi is a former councilor, and member of the House of Representatives.
