The Plateau governor’s wife, Mrs. Helen Mutfwang, hosted 1500 children at Government House Jos on Saturday to celebrate Christmas.

Mrs Mutfwang said that the gesture was to show love to the children and help them understand the very essence of the special season.

The governor’s wife urged the people not to forget the true meaning of Christmas, which was about love and kindness.

She said it is time for family, friends, and community to come together and share in the joy and happiness of the season.

The governor’s wife commended the efforts of her husband in ensuring that children receive the best education, have access to quality health care, and have special protection in the state.

She appreciated all parents, guidance, and caregivers who brought their children to the Christmas party and all those who worked hard to organise the event.

Mrs Mutfwang encouraged the children not to lose sight of their goals, as they would make a positive impact on the world around them as future leaders.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the visibly excited children thanked the governor’s wife for organising a Christmas funfair.

Joshua Longshak, a 13-year-old boy, said the dancing competition was his favourite moment.

Another child, Victoria Gyang, said she had fun dancing with the various cartoon characters.

Joy Akutse, a 10-year-old girl, said the gifts from the party were amazing, and she thanked Mrs Mutfwang for celebrating with children.
