Niger LG chair dies, two others injured in auto crash

The Chairman of Katcha Local Government Area in Niger State, Danlami Saku, died in a car crash on Wednesday while two others were injured.

The Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Muazu Jantabo, confirmed the incident.

He said Saku died near Kwati village on the Minna-Suleja road on Tuesday evening.

Saku was reportedly on his way to Abuja for a programme with two others when the accident occurred.

“Hon. Saku was a committed leader whose dedication and service to the development of Katcha Local Government will be remembered for years to come,” Jantabo said.
