The Niger State Police Command says that on 27th August 2025, at about 4 pm, based on intelligence received, its operatives attached to Shiroro Division, in Shiroro Local Government of the state, arrested one Mustapha Saleh, 28 years old, of Zumba community, who conspired with Shuaibu, presently at large, to cultivate suspected cannabis in their compound in Zumba.

A statement issued to newsmen in Minna by the spokesperson of the command, SP Wasiu Abiodun, explained that the police operatives stormed the compound when the duo were harvesting the leaves, and on sighting the police team, both suspects took to their heels.

The statement further said that one of them was apprehended, and investigation revealed that the suspects had long been dealing in cannabis, adding that exhibits of about two bags were recovered and the suspect was moved to the SCID Minna for further necessary action.
