The Ogun State Environmental Protection Agency (OGEPA) has sealed Imole Ayomi Bakery and End-Time Grace Apostolic Church for violating environmental laws.
Special Adviser to the Governor on OGEPA, Farouk Akintunde, disclosed this to journalists at his office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, the state capital.
He explained that Imole Ayomi Bakery, located along Abiola Way, Asero, Abeokuta, was shut down for air pollution with serious public health implications. The End-Time Grace Apostolic Church at Ago-Oko was also sealed for noise pollution, which posed health risks and disturbed community peace.
“These places were sealed for failing to adhere to environmental standards despite receiving prior warning from OGEPA,” Akintunde said. He reaffirmed the agency’s commitment to creating a healthier and sustainable environment, urging residents to report environmental violations to support OGEPA’s efforts in safeguarding public health and community wellbeing.
