Oniru visits Zenith Bank HQ, strengthens ties for inclusive devt

The Oniru of Iruland, Oba Abdulwasiu Lawal, has proposed a strategic partnership with Zenith Bank for the development of his Kingdom, calling for collaboration in key areas that will yield mutual and lasting impact.

Oba Lawal said this on Thursday when he paid a courtesy visit to Zenith Bank Headquarters in Lagos, explaining that the partnership was in alignment with his vision of Let’s Grow Iruland Together – LeGIT initiative.

The Monarch explained that the partnership will cut across sectors such as youth affairs, healthcare, education, culture, and tourism.

“I am here today not only to express appreciation for the strides Zenith Bank has made but also to extend an invitation to collaborate with us in key areas that will yield mutual and lasting impact.

“Youth and Innovation Hubs: Establishing digital labs or enterprise centres in partnership with the palace to nurture entrepreneurial talent. Healthcare Support: Complementing services at the Oniru Primary Health Centre through mobile clinics or outreach programmes.

“Educational Advancement: Supporting scholarships, mentorship, and infrastructure development in local schools. Cultural and Tourism Promotion: Sponsoring festivals, art showcases, and heritage conservation projects to elevate local identity and economic opportunity.”

He noted that the bank’s legacy is one of excellence and impact, expressing hope that the visit would herald the beginning of a meaningful partnership that delivers tangible, lasting benefits for the people of Iru Kingdom.

The Monarch expressed optimism about future engagements with a blend of tradition and innovation, concluding the visit with a renewed hope of collaboration between Iru Kingdom and Zenith Bank.

The Oniru also expressed deep appreciation for the bank’s longstanding commitment to national advancement, especially in the areas of innovation, youth empowerment, education, healthcare, and corporate social responsibility.
