Operatives of the Chanchaga Division in Bosso Local Council of Niger State have arrested a man, Saidu Aliyu, from the Kpakungu area of Minna, for allegedly stealing a Bajaj motorcycle.

According to a statement by the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun, the suspect was arrested on October 24 along the Chanchaga–Paiko road while in possession of the motorcycle.

Abiodun said Aliyu could not provide a satisfactory explanation during interrogation.

Investigations later revealed that the motorcycle had been snatched from its owner in the Maitumbi area of Minna.

The police spokesman added that the suspect is currently in custody and under investigation.
