Reflecting on Nigeria’s journey post-independence, Senator Onyesoh, 64, acknowledged the numerous challenges the country faces but expressed optimism for a brighter future. He assured his constituents in Rivers East and Nigerians at large that, with concerted efforts and patience, the Nation would continue to advance towards sustainable development and prosperity.

“As we celebrate our 64th Independence Day Anniversary, we must remember the sacrifices made by our founding fathers: Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Sir Ahmadu Bello, and Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa amongst others. Let us recommit ourselves to the ideals they stood for: national unity, peace, justice, and tolerance,” Onyesoh stated.
