Soldier kills policeman after being stopped for traffic offence
A soldier has murdered a Police Inspector in Lagos after he was stopped in the Ojo area of Lagos.
The yet-to-be-identified soldiers attached to the Ojo Cantonment Barracks were accosted for driving against the traffic around the Volks Bus Stop, along the Ojo Iyana, Iba Road area of Lagos State.
A police source told The Guardian that the soldier, who was not wearing his uniform, while driving an unregistered T4 Volkswagen commercial bus against the traffic, was stopped by policemen on enforcement duty in the area.
An altercation ensued and the soldier contacted his colleagues in the barracks who reportedly trooped out of the Ojo Cantonment Barracks and attacked the policemen.
