Instant Rad in partnership with the Association of Radiologist in Nigeria organised 2024 Radiologists Recognition and Award ceremony with the theme “Celebrating the extra-ordinary efforts of Radiologists in advancing healthcare service delivery”.

Speaking at the event, the National President, Association of Radiologists in Nigeria, Prof. Ibukun Oyinloye, premised the collaborative event on the need to recognise and encourage radiologists for their resilience and immense contribution to health sector.

He, however, decried many challenges confronting the practitioners such as dearth of staffers as a result of radiologists travelling abroad after being trained; shortage and high cost of equipment among others.

He called on the government to recognise the vital roles played by radiologists by creating conducive environment for them to operate.

Country Director, Instant Rad, Nigeria, Bayode Oke Thomas, said there were very few radiologists compared with Nigeria’s population.

“What we have been able to do, with the aid of technology, was to create a platform for them to have access to more patients and reach out to more centers from the comfort of their homes.
Therefore this partnership is an opportunity for them to leverage on technology to affect and touch more lives,” he said.
