World Praise Day: Global 24-hour praise event set for 7 May 2025

Deacon Banjo Omole, the convener and promoter of the annual *May 7 World Praise Day*, has announced that this year’s edition will take place globally on Wednesday, 7 May 2025. In a significant departure from previous years, the event will run for a full 24 hours, marking its 11th edition as a day of uninterrupted worship and praise to God.
The main event will be held at The Redeemed Christian Church of God, located at 58 Iju Road, Ifako-Agege, Lagos. However, Deacon Omole has encouraged individuals outside Lagos and across the globe to participate by joining the live broadcast on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.
Omole emphasised that preparations for this year’s event are already underway, with expectations that it will surpass previous editions in scale and impact. Reflecting on the success of last year’s programme, he expressed gratitude to God and called on people worldwide to join in this global celebration of faith.
“This is not just an event; it is a divine directive. Every 7th of May, we are called to stand together in praise of God, regardless of where we are in the world,” Omole stated. He urged pastors and church leaders from all denominations to actively participate and organise local gatherings to mark the day.
“We encourage everyone to be part of this global praise feast. Whether you are in your state, community, or country, your involvement is crucial. Your support, partnership, sponsorship, and donations will also go a long way in making this event a success. God bless you,” he added.
The May 7 World Praise Day is a unique opportunity for believers worldwide to unite in worship, transcending geographical and denominational boundaries. With a 24-hour marathon praise session, this year’s event promises to be a powerful testament to the unifying power of faith.
For those unable to attend in person, the event will be streamed live on YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram, ensuring that everyone can join in this global moment of worship.
