THE Director General of the Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organisation, Dr. Ahmadu Ali, and the Senate President, David Mark, Tuesday came hard on the immediate past Minister Of Information, Labaran Maku, labelling him a ‘prodigal son’ and ‘liar’ for linking the presidency with his governorship ambition after jumping ship to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

Speaking at the presidential campaign rally of the PDP in Lafia, Nasarawa State on Tuesday, Ali, who is a former PDP National Chairman, described Maku as a failure noting that he would regret his action except he shows penitence.

“He is a failure and would keep failing for the rest of his life, unless he retraces his steps back to the elders like us and we would forgive him as a prodigal son,” Ali fumed.

Mark, who also spoke at the event, accused the APGA guber candidate of attempting to portray the President as engaging in anti-party activity by his telling who ever cares that the nation’s number one citizen had backed his ambition even after losing the PDP ticket to Yusuf Agabi during the primaries of the party.

He said: “Do not listen to lies from one of your sons who said he is in another party because Mr. President has put him there, that is absolute lie.  You must never believe it. We said so few days ago and we are emphasising it again.”

Mark continued: “We want to emphasise it, Mr. President is body and soul PDP; he can therefore not put anybody in another political party to be campaigning on behalf of another political party. “How can you be in APGA and be campaigning for the PDP presidential candidate. Return to PDP with apology, because, before we even take him, he has to apologise to all the good people in PDP.”
