AP candidate promises pensioners prompt payment of benefits

Alao-Akala to revamp education

ACCORD Party (AP) governorship candidate in Oyo state, Senator Rashidi Ladoja has assured pensioners in the state of prompt payment of their pension if elected in next month election.

   Also, his Labour Party (LP) counterpart, Otunba Adebayo Alao Akala promised that his administration if elected would focus more on revamping the technical education and encourage vocational training in the state if elected

   Ladoja at a campaign rally in South East Local Government Area of the state said it is inhuman to treat pensioners the way the ruling party in the state has been treating them, particularly the late payment of pension and other benefits of retirees 

   He noted that while he was in office between 2003 and 2007 his predecessor left 18 months of unpaid pension, which he cleared within three months

   At Owode Academy Market, he assured traders that his administration would provide social amenities in the market while existing facilities would   be upgraded

     Alao-Akala in a statement by his spokesperson, Abraham Ojo said, “the state of education in Oyo state is not encouraging and there is need for government to do something urgently particularly when the present administration which enjoy the best of opportunities to give the best has failed to do so.

  “My administration won laurels for good deeds and we have plans to do more for our people because they deserve the best. We have a policy that enhances qualitative education policy for the childre from primary to tertiary level”.
