Buhari, Saraki mourn victims of Abuja bomb blasts
President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday expressed sadness over the latest bomb blasts in Abuja, which has claimed 18 lives according to the National Emergency Management Agency.
“My heart goes out to the families of the dead and injured in Abuja, and other parts of the country,” the President said in a Twitter message published by his media aides, Femi Adeshina and Garba Shehu.
In a related event, the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki described the incident as a sad one, especially “at a time we are making progress tackling insurgency problem.”
“We support our army and pray for the victims and their families,” he concluded.
