FORMER Minister, National Planning and currently, Chairman, Susman & Associates Limited, Dr. Shamsuddeen Usman, has stated the benefits Nigeria would gain from President Muhammadu Buhari’s visit to the United States of America.

Usman spoke yesterday at a two-day programme: “Train-the-Trainers Course” on ‘Design and Implementation of a Comprehensive Performance Monitoring and Evaluation System in Lagos State,’ organised for Lagos State Government Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget (MEPB) in collaboration with Susman & Associates, which was held at Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja.

Usman said from the coverage of the visit so far, the commitment of the United States of America to help Nigeria fight insurgency, corruption as well as assisting in recovering some of the funds that had been looted and taken out of the country had been quite evident.

Usman said the visit was a great opportunity for Nigeria to take advantage of the military strength of the United States to help combat insurgency.

He commended the Lagos State Government for being ahead of other states in Nigeria in terms of infrastructural development.
