Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has visited the Nigerian pavilion at the Dubai Expo 2020, urging businesses and investors in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to leverage reforms initiated by his government to extend investments to the state.

The Expo 2020 is a world exhibition of industrial goods and services, held in Dubai.
The expo with the theme, ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future,’ provides opportunities for Nigeria, sub-national governments, and organisations to build partnerships and strengthen ties for investment to drive their economies.

During the tour of the pavilion, Obaseki appreciated the infusion of the rich cultural heritage of Edo people and the display of sculptures and artworks from the Benin Kingdom at the Expo.

Obaseki also interacted with Nigerian officials and prospective investors and businesses from the United Arab Emirates, highlighting investment opportunities in different sectors of the state’s economy, including agriculture, healthcare, technology and education, among others.
