The Headquarters, 3 Division Nigerian Army is scheduled to host the maiden edition of Nigerian Army Women’s Corp Training Week from Tuesday 9 April to Thursday 11 April 2019, at Maxwell Khobe Cantonment Jos by 8am.

Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai will declare the event open, while the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Simon Bako Lalong will be the special guest of honour.

A statement yesterday in Jos by the Acting Deputy Director, Army Public Relations said Nigerian Army Women’s Corp was established, with the aim of providing female personnel the opportunity to contribute effectively to national development and security of the country. Since its establishment, the Corps has participated in various national assignments including deployment as part of Chief of Army Staff’s Body Guards, protection of very important personality, escort duties and operation safe conduct during the recently concluded general elections.
