
Nigerian Breweries Plc (NB Plc) has announced the appointment of Juliet Anammah as its new Chairman, effective 1 January 2025.
Anammah takes over from Sijbe “Siep” Hiemstra, who has been serving as interim Chairman since the beginning of the year.
The announcement was made by the company’s secretary/legal director, Uaboi Agbebaku, following the Board of Directors meeting held on 12 December 2024.
“Her appointment reflects the Board’s confidence in her extensive leadership capabilities and professional experience,” NB said.
Anammah has been a member of the NB Plc Board since 2022, during which she chaired the Governance and Ethics Committee.

Her career spans over 30 years, covering consulting, consumer goods, sales, marketing, e-commerce, and sustainability.
Before this appointment, Anammah served as the Chair and Chief Group Sustainability Officer at Jumia Nigeria, where she also previously held the position of Chief Executive Officer.
She was also the Managing Director of Accenture LLC, overseeing the Consumer Goods, Retail, and Transportation practice in West Africa.
In addition, her professional background, she has served on the boards of several organisations, including Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc.
