Television host and Film maker, Mr. Frank Edoho, gave this advice at the first physical conference of the Association of Diction Coaches of Nigeria, ADCN.

Edoho was the keynote speaker at the conference, which had diction coaches, educators, and communicators in attendance.

The presenter of the popular TV show, ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire,’ emphasised the importance of consuming information via movies and literature which could come in handy as an elocutionist.

The conference held on August 31, 2024 in Lagos, with the theme as ‘Elocution in the Digital Age; Adapting Traditional Speech Training Methods for Modern Communication Platforms’.

Other speakers at the conference were Omotoyosi Ajayi who spoke on personal branding for elocutionists, Bibilomo George who spoke on The Digital Savvy Elocutionist, Dr. Catherine Onyejiaka who spoke on Attracting High-Paying Clients as a Diction Coach.

The conference also featured guests on the panel sessions such as Omotunde Adebowale David, Femi Obong-Daniels, Dr Wasiu Adumadeyin and Titus Bankole.

The ADCN, whose current National executive is led by Titus Bankole, is Nigeria’s foremost and most vibrant professional membership organisation of professional elocutionists and English diction coaches.

The association has over 500 elocutionists/diction coaches on its roll in 15 active chapters across the 36 States and the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria.
