Nigeria’s unity no longer possible, says Uwazuruike

Leader of the Biafran Independent Movement (BIM), Chief Ralph Uwaruzike, has said that Nigeria’s amalgamation has failed with 56 years of independence in Nigeria, saying it is practically impossible to keep Nigeria as one united entity again.
Speaking in Onitsha yesterday through the BIM’s Anambra North Zonal Director of Information, Charles Igbokwe, Uwaruzike noted that there has been more clamour for separation and division than before, while the volume of innocent blood, which has poured out on the ground in the country, has equally increased.
He, therefore, appealed to the international community to prevail on the Nigerian government to grant Biafra an independent state of its own, saying that the aim of the founding fathers has been defeated.
According to him, the unity of Nigeria exists only on radio and televisions, just as he expressed regret that many families of different security agencies have become fatherless due to casualties recorded in the fight against insurgents.
He also appealed to political leaders and security agents to allow people live according to their desire instead of forced nationhood.“At northern side, there is Boko Haram and Shittee clamouring for an Islamic State, in the West, there is the Oodua People’s Congress seeking for Oduduwa Republic, and in the East, we have the BIM/ MASSOB and others seeking for freedom of Biafrans.“All these are pointers to the fact that the mind of everybody is not in the so-called One Nigeria.”
He called on the Federal Government and politicians to emulate the Western world in upholding the people’s rights for self-determination, referendum and secession for peace to reign.

I believe in what this man is expressing here. We can not continue to deceive ourselves telling the whole world that Nigeria is one when actually there is disparity all over. If the “Oil” that is causing all these forceful integration has been in up to about 5 States in the North, believe me before OBJ’s entry as a civilian President, Nigeria would have been broken to pieces. Let people find out why Nigeria did not attain her independence before Ghana. These same people said they were not ready. Today all about the Security Outfit and training are located in the North-name them Army, Air Force etc are all there. I pity all the Southern Pseudo Politicians and those without integrity who allow themselves to be used to fight one another. let oil be discovered in Bornu, Zamfara and Katsina or Kano overnight the constitution will be amended. I blame GEJ who refused to endorse the work of those he constituted to look into the nation’s affairs and overlooked all their reports and suggestions. Only God knows when a South-Eastern person will ever be president in ‘Nigeria”. Some of you may remember why Ebitu Ukiwe prematurely retired as second in command under the Military regimes and how Aikhoimu was asked to drop his uniform and remained under IBB who was still military General. I am not from the South East but we must face facts.
Ok o! Discuss well well with British first
Nigeria’s unity is possible upon a sovereign conference. Lets do the needful by restructuring.
We will review and take appropriate action.
