NIS launches digital platform for expatriate residence permit

Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has launched a new digital platform for the Combined Expatriate Residence Permit and Automated Card (CERPAC) application process.

The new online portal, accessible at https://cerpac.immigration.gov.ng, allows applicants to submit their CERPAC applications digitally, aiming to improve transparency, efficiency, and user experience.

According to the NIS Public Relations Officer, Akinsola Akinlabi, effective August 1, 2025, the use of physical CERPAC forms will be discontinued.

According to him, applications submitted after July 31, 2025, must be completed exclusively through the online platform, and applicants who have paid for but have not submitted CERPAC forms are advised to finalise and submit by July 31, 2025, to maintain their application status and avoid losing associated payments.

The agency urged individuals and companies responsible for immigration procedures for expatriates to complete all pending submissions within the timeframe.
